Each year CAMP hires a 70-member team to provide a safe and fun experience for more than 850 campers. Applications are available in January, and applicants must commit to the entire summer. Positions available include head cabin staff, cabin counselors, activity leaders, lifeguards, maintenance, dining hall attendants, chefs, and dishwashers. Benefits not only include a stipend plus room and board, but also the chance to form life-long friendships with fellow counselors and campers.
Minimum age to apply is 16-years-old; some positions have higher age requirements. A background check will be completed on all applicants. Each staff member will be trained to care for a camper’s daily living needs, maintain their health and safety, and ensure campers will have the best time possible at CAMP. Certifications in lifeguarding, first aid, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, HIPAA compliance, and Child Protection will be offered during Lead Staff Training.
