Respite Camp Volunteer

Respite Weekend Camp is a monthly program during non-summer months – September through May – for children and adults with special needs. Counselors help campers with personal care needs and assisting with activities.

Staff and volunteers with experience from summer camp require no further training; first time volunteers must attend a training session on Friday night of their first Weekend Camp, from 7-10 p.m. Volunteers can earn a small stipend (does not apply to first time volunteers) or up to 25 service hours. For the 2018-2019 respite season, this program will be held at various locations including SeaWorld of San Antonio, Hermann Sons CAMP and our Camp CAMP facility both in Center Point, Texas, and volunteers are responsible for their own transportation. Volunteers must be 14 years of age or older.

Respite Weekend Camp is great for volunteers who want to get experience prior to Summer Camp or who want to be a part of CAMP all year long!
